Getting the keywords in the meta tags right
We have recently experienced several companies who are not paying enough attention to their meta tags and keywords.
They are very important in the optimisation of your business. If you get them wrong, it could cause problems for you even financially.
They will need to be kept updated and current and the main problem we have noticed recently is the incorrect spelling of important words.
If the keywords are wrong, and they do not match the content (body) of the website, then this could also cause problems.
In some cases, companies deliberately misspell words to attract the customer who also enter the wrong word into the search engines such as Google. What must be considered is that these phrases need to be repeated somewhere within the body text of the webpage. Do you really want incorrect words appearing on your front page?
Getting it right is all important. Portraying the correct image and professionalism is also vital.

On July 1st 2008, ableSEO announced a partnership with Compass Computing.
Compass Computing has been established for many many years now, and has attained a very satisfied client base. We were very excited, as we had worked with them for so long now, that they agreed to an official partnership. What does this mean to the customer? Well not much on the face of it. The customer still gets a great service and full range of website design options.

Looking after the pennies
The team at ableSEO are as conscious about the recent economical predictions as most of you are. We all have to take stock of how we present out business and wether there will be customers greeting us at the other end.
Businesses need to target their advertising more directly than ever before. Paying for the wrong type of business promotion can lead to further problems, especially when finances are under scrutiny.
Search Engine Optimisation is a great alternative to physical advertsing such as phone books and online paid directories such as yell.
With the correct amount of SEO, your company can promote itself within the online domain. It can target the exact type of customer it requires and increase business accordingly.
Prospective customers to your business can now afford to be more choosy and scrutinise the business more. This puts more pressure on the website and listings to be up-to-date and information rich. Both these things actually help online promotions anyway! So start straight away, because other businesses and even your main competition may have already started optimizing their site.
We have the very latest blog technology which links directly to RSS feeds, enabling you to update your website and keep the information contained within it as the customer would like to see it.
This will make your business more attractive to search engines and therefore likely to appear nearer the top of search engines such as Google.
This of course means more visiblity on the internet and more visits to your site.
Once the person clicks on your website, they need to be kept interested. If the information or products or services they are looking for are hard to find, they’ll go elsewhere.
If your website needs updating, now is the time to do it. We can of course help you update or redesign your website.
If your database is running slow or is out of date, we can upgrade it for you, or introduce a new database.
All of these things are possible with us, and you will get great results.
Spend your money wisely and you will see results.

ableSEO.com teams up with a great charity
We have teamed up with www.paddle4relief.co.uk for the design and optimisation of their new website which is due to be rolled out any time now.
Paddle 4 Relief carry out amazing fundraising events to raise much needed cash for good causes in Sri Lanka. The “forgotten victims of the tsunami” are being assisted by Tim Tanton and all the team at Paddle.
We are designing the site and optimising it at no cost. This allows us (in our small way) to help the fundraising efforts.
They hold regular events, and once the new site is up and running, all the information will be posted there.
Good luck to all the team for the 2008 money raising events.

Originality and worthiness
Your website should stand out from the crowd.
You should try to regularly add and update articles about your services or product range.
Add a blog to your website. It will create information rich text and help you on your way to popularity. And how about a directory of valuable links and resources?
Check out the competition!
If they are doing it correctly, then find out which sites link to them and try to emulate it. See how much information they have on their site. If its much more than you, then changes have to be made!
Submit your site to internet directories. But be careful you choose carefully and wisely.
Of course what you should really do is leave it up to the experts! Contact us today for a proposal of how we can turn your internet presence around!

Years ago, businesses would have spent tens of thousands of pounds on advertising campaigns incorporating, print, TV or radio media. But today, this whole concept has changed. With customers no longer randomly looking for a product or service, the internet offers a great opportunity to develop a targeted route to your market thanks to SEO (search engine optimisation). With the ever-increasing amount of websites, firms need to focus on the content, functionality and positioning of their web presence. This is something that ableseo.com can help with. Just as a successful high-street retailer will regularly update its shop window to increase foot fall, a website must be dynamic if it is to showcase a business effectively. The potential for new customers on the internet is enormous, with 2.7 billion searches each month on google alone. As people become more dependent on the internet, this audience will never go away and should be addressed accordingly with an effective seo campaign.

Advertisers now spend more online than in the national press but the boom in digital ads has not run its course, says Paul DurmanCaroline McGuckian; LBi Media Director is quoted in last weekend’s Sunday Times.
NIGEL MORRIS, one of the most experienced figures in the online-marketing industry, likes to tell the story of what happened when his young children, then aged five and three, visited their grandmother.
His sons were watching a Scooby Doo cartoon on the Boomerang channel when they were called for tea.
As the children of a leading ad man, they were used to the latest electronic gadgetry at home – but there was no personal video recorder, such as a Sky Plus box, at their grandmother’s house.
Morris recalls the look of consternation on his five-year-old’s face as he realised he would not be able to pause the programme he was watching. He simply couldn’t understand “why he would watch something on a screen that he could not pause”.

Why over complicate?
Are you sure that your website visitors understand the text on your web pages? If the pages are too difficult to understand, you might not earn as much as you could with your website.
How easily people can read the text on your web pages, influences your sales.
Many websites use language that is difficult to understand for the average web surfer. In addition, some webmasters prefer long and complicated sentences.
Long and complicated sentences are unprofessional and inconsiderate.
If your website text is too difficult, it may cause surfers to leave and go elsewhere. Web surfers are quite impatient people.
So how is the readability of your web pages checked?
The Flesch Reading Ease test is an official United States governmental standard to determine how easy the text is to read. It gauges the approximate level of education necessary to understand your web page content.
A high score indicates the text is easier to read, and lower scores mean it is more difficult.
Ensure your web pages are easy to understand. Don’t make it difficult for your prospective customers!
