A new era in all things

So we have a new government in power. There are to be many changes ahead that will affect us all in many different ways. Just as one example that will affect one of the companies we are promoting – HouseRefer – there is likely to be a scrapping of the Home Improvement Packs (HIPS) which is a service that they offer online to their property advertisers (sellers).

This means they will have to change their website just because this simple matter has been abolished by the new government, having only just been introduced by the last. This, albeit a small change in the great scheme of things to come, still has a knock on effect. They will now have to task, probably at cost, a web designer such as us to carry out the changes to the site to reflect the new changes in policy.

This causes unforeseen expense for them but increased business for us. Is that fair?

The changes to the taxes that are up and coming will also have some impact on small businesses and individuals, that there are some serious changes afoot.

A business area that is normally hit hard with budget changes and taxation, is the alcohol industry. We currently help to promote The Cherry Tree Inn pub Sussex for their pub grub and accommodation. They will no doubt be affected by any alterations in the emergency budget that will be introduced to try and combat the country’s dreadful debt.
